Michael David Darling

Michael David Darling, age 54, passed away on April 30, 2019, at home with his family by his side. Michael was born in Council Bluffs on August 2, 1964, to David and Norma (Rechtenbach) Darling. He had a contagious smile and laughter that could fill a room. He was an outstanding photographer and went by his professional name of Michael Dar. He lived in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, photographing models and clients for various magazines, billboards, etc. He had an eye for talent and helped a number of models excel in their careers. He loved to travel and take photos. He enjoyed coming back home and being with the family. Michael has battled with brain cancer since June of 2018. He is preceded in death by his father, David and niece, Lisa Darling. Survivors include his mother, Norma of Council Bluffs; siblings, Darrell (Patty) Darling, Cindy (Jerry) Wagner, Greg (Sandi) Darling; nieces and nephews, Renee (Steve) Maaske, Daniel (Joslyn) Darling, David (Justis) Darling, Kendra (Josh) Zellers, Andrea (Shane) Noble, Machaela (Will) Winger, Jenna Wagner, Brian Darling, Denise Darling, Rachel Darling; 13 great-nieces and nephews.
