Barbara L Steele

Barbara L. Steele, 84, of Keokuk, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 30, 2019, at River Hills Nursing Home. Barbara was born to Wesley Luke and Bernice Golden Crum Cannon on July 1, 1934 in Alexandria, MO. She was united in marriage to Russell Raymond Steele on October 16, 1952 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death in February of 2014. Barbara became a resident of Keokuk in 1952 and called it home until she passed. She was a member of Alexandria Presbyterian Church and a former member of Elmira Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. While in Keokuk, Barbara worked as a retail clerk at Baker's Rexall, on the production line at Borg Warner, and a few other places. Barbara is survived by 2 sons; Larry Douglas "LD" Steele and Alex Steele, both of Keokuk, one granddaughter; Heather Steele, and one great granddaughter; Kaylee Steele, 3 brothers; Edwin (Deloris) Cannon of Kahoka, MO, Rodney (Arlene) Cannon of Florida, and Keith (Joan) Cannon of Hannibal, MO.
