Dawn Nicole Tate

Dawn Nicole Tate, 42, of Keokuk, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics surrounded by family and loved ones. Dawn was born on October 8, 1976 in Quincy, IL, to Donald and Julie Tate Dade. Dawn was united in marriage to Jarrard Tate, he survives. Dawn has lived in Keokuk for 18 years. Dawn obtained a bachelor degree from AIB College of Business in Des Moines. She was employed with State Central Bank until she found her true calling as a cosmetologist. She was a member of the Living Word Ministries in Keokuk and participated in many of the church activities. Dawn enjoyed singing, dancing, crafts, working, and all types of greeting cards. Dawn loved people and if she knew that a person was a little down, she would call them to help pick them up and send a card. She had a smile that could light up a room and was willing to help anyone who needed help. Celebration of Life for Dawn will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1328 Exchange St, Keokuk, IA, from 9 to 11 am with funeral service following at 11 am.
