Randy Jackson Elder

Randy Jackson Elder, 59, of Argyle, passed away in his home on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Randy was born on May 25, 1959 in Keokuk, Iowa, to Wendell and Margaret O'Bleness Elder. He was united in marriage to Tracie Zahn, they later divorced. Randy lived most of his life in the Keokuk and Argyle area. He worked production for many years at Sheller Globe and was a member of the union there. Randy also was employed with Walbash and Scotts Fertilizer in Ft. Madison, IA. In his younger years, however, Randy was very active in Boy Scouts and earned the highest rank achievable, the Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Montrose Baseball Association. Randy enjoyed hunting and was even fortunate enough to travel to Alaska to hunt. When he was not working, or hunting, you could find him behind the wheel of his pride and joy, a 1970's Chevelle with a 4 on the floor. Randy is survived by 3 children; son, Adam Elder of Keokuk, a daughter, Aaron Pennington of Keokuk, and a step-daughter, Amie Orr of Machesney Park, 2 sisters; Sandy (John) Brammer of Keokuk, Linda (Ron) Bevard of Keokuk, and one brother; W. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Randy Elder, will be Friday, May 10, 2019, from 5 to 8 pm, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa.
