"I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever." On Tuesday, May 14, 2019 Bonnie Fletcher passed away in her home in Mounds View at the age of 75. She is preceded in death by grandparents George and Theoline Noyes, Martin and Nora Gorder, parents Howard and Gladys Noyes, and brother Bruce Noyes. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Kenneth Fletcher, daughters Stephanie (Curtis) Lee and Rachel (Merle) Biggs; grandchildren Lauren Lee, Katherine Gustafson, Jane Lee, Maren Gustafson, and David Lee; sister Marsha Farwick; sisters-in-law Carol Noyes, Karen Selvaag and Beverly Sherman; cousin Mac (Janet) Gorder; godchildren Michelle Schultz, Richard Askland, Lynette Reinhardt, Mark Noyes and Tamrah O'Neil; as well as numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. Bonnie was born on February 2, 1944 in Starbuck, MN, and her family moved to Battle Lake when she started high school. There she met her high school sweetheart Ken, and a love story had begun. celebrated 55 years of married love and devotion to each other. Their daughters fondly remember the two sharing a kiss each night after dinner. While Ken was working several jobs and attending St. Cloud State University, Bonnie took a job at Target Corporation as a keypunch operator at the Northern Operations Center. She worked for Target Corporation for over 20 years, where she made many lifelong friends. Bonnie was beautiful, through and through. She was beloved by so many people, we couldn't possibly list them all. She was generous, warm, and kind. She had a genuine way of making everyone feel important and loved. Bonnie had a bright smile for everyone, even on her worst days. She never met a stranger. Although she suffered greatly from cancer for 27 years, she was always more concerned with taking care of others. All the while, Ken stood faithfully by her side. They were a team. Bonnie was a skilled seamstress, cook, and hostess. A treasured memory is making her sister Marsha's prom dress. She spent countless hours at her sewing machine making clothing for her children and herself, and was known for her soft baby quilts. She adored children, and had many "adopted grandkids" over the years who were so special to her. She and Ken were known for hosting an annual Easter Egg hunt for all of the kids in the neighborhood. Ken and Bonnie loved spending time at their cabin on West Battle Lake. They have many fond memories with grandkids, family, and long time beach neighbors. Bonnie took great joy in preparing meals and serving others. She never missed an opportunity to fry up Ken's fresh caught walleye, and was the hostess with the mostest. Bonnie loved the Lord and had a great faith. Jesus Christ was where she put her hope and trust, and she would remind us all to stay close to Jesus. She was dedicated to numerous Bible studies, both through Bible Study Fellowship International and her home church, Abiding Savior Lutheran in Mounds View. We have peace knowing she is at home with Jesus, and is no longer suffering, but she will be greatly missed. A special thank you to Dr. Edmund Chute for his dedication to Bonnie's care, and countless life-saving surgeries. WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH. We are also grateful for Pastor Lisa at Abiding Savior for her many years of diligent prayer and support for our entire family. A visitation will be held at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Mounds View, MN on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 am with an 11:00 am service to follow.
