dlepoint projects, and puzzles. She and Clarence attended many Rockwell athletic events which included football, baseball, and basketball games. Her favorite activity was babysitting the grandchildren. For 23 years she and Clarence enjoyed being snowbirds for the winter in Texas.
Surviving Arlene is her husband Clarence, eight children Andra and her husband Clete Moser, Patty Hasson, John and his wife Stephanie Kirchhoff all of Cedar Rapids; Kimberly Pelky of Wisconsin, Doug Kirchhoff of Cedar Rapids, Julie and her husband Scott Sampson of Midwest City, OK; Jayme Kirchhoff of Mason City, Mark and his wife Vickki of Clear Lake. Her sister Leone Conrad and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also blessed with many grandchildren, many many Great Grandchildren and several Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her son Steven Mathus, a grandson Steven Moser, sisters Alice Stricker, Marcella Esser as an infant, Betty Larson, Dorothy Ross and Rose Wihlm and Brother Leo "Bud" Esser.
