Christopher Lee Dobbs

Christopher Lee Dobbs, 41, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday evening, May 30, 2019, at Unity Point Health in Keokuk. Chris was born on May 28, 1978, in Keokuk, to Henry H. and Barbara DeWitt Dobbs. Chris lived in the Keokuk and Wever area for the majority of his life. After high school, Chris entered the Army and was deployed to Iraq during the Operation Freedom and also Kuwait. While overseas, he was a truck driver and a gunner. Chris was later honorably discharged from the Army with a rank of SPC E-4. After returning from war, Chris found employment through Pinnacle in Ft. Madison and then later at Henniges in Keokuk. When he wasn't working, Chris enjoyed working on cars. However, no matter what he was doing, there was always one little guy who was at the forefront of his mind, his son, Dalton Dobbs. He lived and breathed for his son. Chris is survived by his son, Dalton Dobbs of Keokuk; two brothers, Joe (Natasha) Dobbs of Ft. Madison, Henry H. Dobbs III of Ft. Visitation for Chris will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 3-8 pm with family meeting friends and loved ones from 6 to 8, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk. Celebration of Chris's life will be Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 1 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk.
