Robert I. Kincaid

Robert (Bob) Irvin Kincaid, 76 of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday, June 2, 2019 Robert Kincaid was born March 23, 1943 in Charleston, Mississippi to Mose and Allie Pearl Kincaid. Robert was one of four children; John, Cynthia and Gregory; and Calvin Jones, the eldest adopted son. The Kincaid family moved from Charleston to Waterloo, Iowa in 1944. Robert's spiritual life began at an early age; accepting Christ at Antioch Baptist Church in Waterloo. He spent much of his young adult life in Waterloo, Iowa where he attended, Grant elementary, Logan Junior High and graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1961. He later completed a dual Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Physical Education from Adams State University in, Alamosa, Colorado and completed Graduate coursework in College Student Personnel and Recreation Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Early in his professional career, it was clear he was to be of service.  No matter where Robert was, he influenced lives, and he always had an introduction for you. re he instilled life lessons that transcended far beyond athletics. Robert's natural talent for leadership and concern for others was evident. Robert's influence was witnessed by generations and his profound impact on those he worked with manifested in their families and communities where he provided guidance and respect to those he encountered. That guidance was was used to shape many lives, and he is still standing on all our sidelines guiding us on to do and be the best we can. After a brief bout with cancer, Robert passed away the way he lived, peacefully and surrounded by his family. Survivors: Partner Ms. Marcia Schemmel, brothers John Kincaid (Suzie) and Gregory Kincaid both of Waterloo; sister Cynthia Harrington of Detroit, MI and Judy Jones of Waterloo.   Nieces; Lisa Kincaid of Phoenix, AZ, Carmen Harrington of Reno, NV, Kelli Kincaid of Phoenix, AZ, Jozetta Burrell (Tony Sr.) of Des Moines, IA, Dedra Greer of Waterloo, Kristi Kincaid of Phoenix, AZ,  Hattie Willoughby (Heath), Chesterton, IN, and Jenni Kincaid of Abu Dhabi, UAE.  Nephews, Barry Jones of Des Moines, IA and John Robert Harrington of Phoenix, AZ, A host of great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
