tics. She was the high school band majorette. She was as Brownie and Girl Scout Troupes Leader. In later years she enjoyed dancing, watching old movies, decorating her home and sitting for her grand dogs. Her passion was landscaping her yard and gardens.
Jan took great pride in being an original homeowner of the Candlelight Park neighborhood. Her family wishes to thank her many neighbors, Mercy Hospice and Good Samaritan Society for their kind deeds and caring in helping Jan live at home as long as possible.
Survivors include two daughters Dr. Renee (Larry Kelly) Lass of Bettendorf, Iowa and Cathy "Cathryn" Lass of Davenport, Iowa; sister Julie (Dan) Mulholland of Clinton, Iowa; nephew Jason Mulholland; nieces Tara Furgason, Angie Sullivan, and Adria Mulholland; six great nieces and nephews; and special cousin Nancy Olson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her dad T.J. Frey; mother and stepdad Florence and Van MacKenzie; a brother Bobby Frey in infancy; and former husband and classmate Donald "Don" A. Lass to whom she was married for 21 years.
Memorials can be made to a favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Clinton Trees Forever.
