Sheelah Sandra-Gail Goforth, 76, of Kyle Texas, died May 22, 2019.
Sheelah was born in 1942 in Edmonton Canada to Brian and Irene Whitley. She lived in Edmonton with her two brothers Dale and Gary Whitley until the 10th grade. She and her family moved to Seattle Washington where she attended Sammamish High School and graduated in 1961.
After graduating from Sammamish high School, Sheelah lived in Florida for a short period of time until moving to Marysville California, then back to Seattle area. Then after retiring as a Book Keeper for Ace Hardware, Sheelah and her husband Harvey Goforth, moved to Kyle TX in 2005.
Sheelah was an active member of the quilting community where she was a member of four separate quilting groups. Sheelah regularly taught classes, attended workshops and has had her quilts pictured in quilting magazines.
Sheelah loved arts and crafts, socializing, and traveling with her husband, especially cruises.
She is survived by her husband Harvey, sons Michael and Anthony; stepchildren Susan and Joey; daughter-in-law Mary, and grandchildren Skelly and Misty.

Memorial will be held on Thursday May 30, 2019 at 6pm located at Harrell Funeral Home, 1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640 with an after reception at the Onion Creek Senior Center at 420 Barton Crossing, Buda.
