Lee HardwickMarch 3, 1935 - January 25, 2011Lee Hardwick, age 75, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Wichita, Kansas passed away Monday, January 25, 2011.Lee attended Pittsburg State University and received his Doctorate in Education from Oklahoma State University. He was an outstanding football player for Wichita East High School and for Colorado College. His hobbies were golfing, fishing, coaching soccer and writing. He wrote two books: "Torched Angel" and "Portrait of an Angel". He was a founding member of Redeeming Grace Lutheran Church. During a long service career with the U.S. Department of Education, he served as Associate Commissioner of Education under President Nixon.He is survived by his loving wife Norma; his son Steven; his daughters Chrissi, Patty, Jeannie, Donna and Michelle; 12 grandchildren and one sister.Services will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeeming Grace Lutheran Church (1010 W. FM 1626, Austin, TX 78748) officiated by Pastor Walter Harms and Pastor Steven Fick.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeeming Grace Lutheran Church (1010 W.
