His enjoyment in life was breaking and training horses, time with his friends while fishing and hunting and telling his stories and his many jokes!!!! He retired from H.E.B. as meat market manager with 28 years of service.He was preceded in death by parents Roy and Angie Hardin; brother, J.C. Hardin; sister, Frances Peterson; sister, Mary Ellen VonMerz; son in law, George Ray Holden. He is survived by wife, Emma; son, John Wesley Hardin, Jr. (Julie); daughter, Darla Jean Hon (Charlie); daughter, Karen Sue Holden; daughter, Sharon Lanette Lowden (Dale); daughter, Kimberli Ann Wiley and Billy; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, many relatives and friends.Pallbearers are, Travis Hardin, Coy Lowden, Dale Lowden, Billy Franklin, Jason Warren, Mark Faltesek and Alex Verver.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX.Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Austin, 2820 E.
