Harold Jacobson

Harold Jacobson, 86, retired photo engraver of Austin, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2010 at Temple Veteran's Affairs Hospice, to spend eternity with his Lord in Heaven.He was born in Granite Falls, Minnesota on December 3, l924 to Norwegian immigrants, Hans Jacobson and Alma (Sloan) Jacobson, and was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth Jacobson, son Kurt Jacobson and several siblings.He served as a medic in the United States Army in World War II and fought at the "Battle of the Bulge."He was a model husband, father and grandfather, dearly loved by all who knew him. He is survived by sons, Scott Jacobson and wife Chris, Keith Jacobson, and Jade Jacobson and daughter Tina JacobsonA memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4622 South Lamar, on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM.Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his memory to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. 4435 Frontier Trail Austin, TX 78745 (512) 443-1366[more]
