Edward Morris "Whitt" Whittington, Jr., 67, of Dripping Springs, TX, passed away on September 24, 2010 after a long illness.Mr. Whittington was born on July 25, 1943, in Houston, TX, to Lina Louise Patterson and Edward Morris Whittington. Mr. Whittington served with distinction in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, and went on to become a master electrician before retiring. He enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks and was an active member of Riverbend Church in Austin, TX. He is survived by his mother, his wife, Karen Brown-Whittington, his sister, Linda (Bob) Brangiforte, and his children, Stephen Whittington, Rebecca (Eric) Portzline, and Brian (Sheila) Whittington. He is also survived by his step-children, Dwight Brown, Jr,, Margaret (Bryan) Landwermeyer, and Douglas (Robin) Brown, his grandchildren, Stephen Whittington, Jr., Sarah Whittington, Zachary Portzline, Caden Whittington, Andrew, James, and Samuel Landwermeyer, and Anna, Spencer, and David Brown, and his great-grandchild, Shianne Whittington.A memorial service will take place at Riverbend Smith Chapel, 4214 North Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX, on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 1:00 PMIn lieu of ...[more]
