John Michael Lockwood

John Michael "Butch" Lockwood, 64, of Elmendorf Street, Kingston passed away while in the comforting presence of his family, on Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, following a courageous battle cancer. Just prior to his passing, John was able to enjoy a family barbecue and the 4th of July Fireworks celebration in Saugerties. He was born in Kingston, New York on March 28th, 1955, a son of the late Beatrice (Lockwood) Appollonia. John was self-employed as a carpenter for various locations in the Kingston NY area, including Fairview Garden Apartments and the Kingston Auto Showcase. He was a craftsman who enjoyed renovations, especially projects involving woodworking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and having a drink with family and friends. John was always there to help others. He is survived by daughters, Amanda Lockwood of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Ginny Lockwood of Kingston, Jenashah Lilley of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, one son, John Michael Lockwood, Jr. of Harmonsburgh, Pennsylvania, and one brother, Charlie R.
