Nora A. Ylvisaker
Ylvisaker, Nora Stoughton- Nora A. Ylvisaker, age 94, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Sunday, March 22, 2009. She was born in Lone Rock, WI on March 8, 1915, a daughter of Grant and Olive Rose (Phetteplace) McKinney. On January 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to Sanford E. Ylvisaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam on January 21, 1971, and by her daughter Rose Ann on February 24, 2009. Nora loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nora was an avid Cubs fan. She adored not only her own three cats, Abby, Katie and Missy, but also the pets of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with the Rev. Scott Geister-Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Stoughton. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor southwest at St. Mary's Hospital, and to the staff at Sienna Crest Assisted Living Home in Oregon.
