her and the washing machine) and his work ethic is something passed on to his three children. His career consisted of several jobs in sales. After his discharge from the service he went to work for Rainbo Baking Company and then on to Frito Lay in Austin, TX, where he and Kathy met some of their dearest friends, many gone before him. In 1980, Billy sold his family on a move to San Antonio, TX, by telling them, "they have a zoo" and he went to work for Fleming Foodservice. Billy and his family would call San Antonio "home" for more than 23 years. Over the next 30 years he worked for several foodservice companies, but retired after 23 years from SYSCO Foodservice where there too he made and remained friends with many. His last years at SYSCO, Billy and Kathy established their 240 acres and called Rosanky, TX home for 16 years. Billy's very "expensive" talent and hobby was restoring classic cars. A talent he inherited from his dad and passed along to his son, Keith. His pride, joy and "girl" the ladies in his life competed with was his 1956 Chevy. He worked 11 years on the restoration of his car and at one point, he purchased an airline ticket to fly Keith home from college to assist with the painting of the car. He loved to attend classic car shows and watch NASCAR races. As the winner of a SYSCO Foodservice sales contest, he got to go to Texas Motor Speedway and drove the track in the "Kellogg's" racecar. Second to restoring cars was his love for a HUGE garden complete with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, collard greens, okra and much more. He loved counting each pick, keeping a tally on his spreadsheet and beating his count, pick over pick and year over year. His favorite part of gardening was his time in the kitchen with Kathy as they canned much of their harvest, creating new, fresh recipes and working to perfect them each time. But we can't forget the BBQ. Becky and Missy asked just a few days ago, "Who's supplying the BBQ for the funeral...that was Dad's job!" And let's not forget the joke that went with it..."Pretty good with that liquid smoke...right?" He could smoke some brisket! There is no denying Billy's love for whiskey and not the expensive stuff! You can bet your last dollar he'd know how much it was a Spec's and if he could get it cheaper somewhere else! On any given afternoon, if you dropped by, it would be "5'oclock somewhere" and you'd find yourself joining Billy in a cocktail or two talking about cars, how hot it was outside or how much rain we really needed! Billy loved his church and church family; Vineyard of Christ. His jobs included: AC duty, candle lighting, pie box assembly and delivery as well as Elder and President of the Congregation. No matter the job, Billy was willing and able. He was proud to be a founder along with many of you and reminisced of its start in his "car shop." Billy is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Morgan of 51 years; his children Melissa (Missy) Tidwell and husband Shawn, Keith Morgan and wife Mary and Rebecca (Becky) Norman; and his grandchildren Jack and Graham Tidwell, Cale and Davis Morgan and Garrett and Katie Norman as well as seven nieces and nephews, many, many friends and "Ruby the Cat." He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Bernice Morgan and brother Bobby Morgan. Billy is now in the best place ever looking down on all of us asking, "What are you looking at Flop Doodle?"
