Imogean "Gean" Nash, 75, of Bellevue, Iowa, died on Friday morning, April 8, 2011, at her home in Bellevue, Iowa. Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party"â„¢ in remembrance of "Gean" on Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 2 to 4 P.M. in "The Bistro" at the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Imogean "Gean" Odom was born on October 18, 1935 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Andrew and Maggie (Miller) Odom. She grew up in Alabama and moved to Illinois at the age of 16. She married Charles Nash on March 18, 1991 in Bridgeview, Illinois. "Gean" had worked for Fisher Body, a division of General Motors, in Willow Springs, Illinois as a press operator for 14 years. "Gean" enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She had been a part of the Bellevue community for over 20 years, first as campers and then eventually retiring and moving permanently. "Gean" is survived by her husband, Charles Nash of Bellevue, IA; children, Rick (Jene) Dolgner of Plainfield, IL, Dottie (Jim) Malan of Lemont, IL, Andrea (Rich) Vachata of Willowbrook, IL, and Scott (Tina) Dolgner of Countryside, IL; 14 grandchildren, 7 great...[more]

t-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Odom of Phoenix, AZ, and Larry Odom of Birmingham, AL; and a sister, Minnie Ruth Kerr of Cleveland, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bob Dolgner, and a sister, Katherine Holloway. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, an Imogean "Gean" Nash memorial fund has been established.
