Robert Bruce Croston, age 71, died suddenly on Tuesday August 27, 2019 at his home in Ambler.
Born in Haverhill, MA, Robert was the son of the late Earle and Vera (Kenison) Croston.
Mr. Croston received his Bachelor's Degree from Franconia College in New Hampshire and his Master's Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was an Industrial Designer in the robotics industry and later served as Professor of Industrial Design at University of Florida, the University of the Arts, Southern Illinois University and Drexel University. Robert was a member of the IDSA. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion. He was a steam train enthusiast and model railroad collector. He had a passion for photography, creating figurative sculpture and Lotus Super 7 sports cars.
Robert is the father of Robert Bruce Croston, II (partner Alana Marino) of Durham, Connecticut and Heather Jane Croston (partner Jon Reed) of Glenside, Pennsylvania and.
