Darryl A. Jackson age 54 passed away on Thursday, September 19. 2019 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was the son of the late James Jackson and Letitia Locklear. Darryl grew up in Long Branch,NJ and was educated in the Long Branch public school system. At a early age Darryl showed an infinity for motorized bikes, he loved working with his hands. He was an energetic and inquisitive young man, to say the least. The road of life was not always easy for Darryl, he like many of us chose the wrong pathways in life. But for Darryl he cultivated a relationship with Jesus Christ his lord and Savior. In Jesus, Darryl found peace and comfort and the forgiveness of his sins. Darryl had attended church at a early age, but it wasn't until he had experienced life's trial and tribulations, that he truly found the Joy of Jesus. Darryl was a devoted member of the New Life Christian Center, under the leadership of Pastor Marcia Griffin. Darryl worked as a handyman, and loved working on cars. Darryl never claimed to be perfect, but he served a perfect God, who's perfect Grace and Love enabled Darryl to receive the perfect gift of Eternal Life. ​He was predeceased by his parents James Jackson and Letha Locklear. Stepfather Randy Locklear. He is survived by his siblings James Russell Jackson ( Tina) and Veronica Lee Jackson, both of Asbury Park NJ; Cheryl Lynn Morris ( Robert) of Brick,NJ; Kimberly Denise Kovac of Roanoke VA; his nieces and nephews: Saleema Jackson, Jamal Conyers, Christopher Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Ryan Kovac and Aaron Kovac and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jahsin, Jasmin,Jahnise Jackson, Jalynn Lowery, Jeremiah Jones, Isaiah Creadle and Alana Marie Jackson. Arrangements provided by Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ 08755. Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at New Life Christian Center, 211 E. 4th Street, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
