Jeffrey O. Lund

Jeffrey "Jeff" O. Lund, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. He was born on May 4, 1959 in La Crosse, WI to Russ and Marilyn Lund. The Lund family lived in Markesan for several years, and then moved to Galesville. Jeff graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Business Education at Winona State. His first teaching job was in Spring Grove, MN where he met Julie Gilbertson who was teaching there. Jeff and Julie married in December of 1984, and soon after, they moved to Sun Prairie where their daughters, Errin and Clair, were born. Jeff taught and coached at several area schools including DeForest, Waterloo, Dodgeland, and Lodi. After retiring, he enjoyed his time as "Grandpa" with his granddaughters, Leora and Margo. Jeff was a lifelong sports enthusiast. Growing up, and as an adult, he played a variety of sports, coached at all age levels, and served as high school athletic director. He was a devoted Badger, Brewer, and Packer fan, and he was an avid golfer. Jeff had a passion for fishing. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Julie; daughters Errin (Pete) Nees of Racine and Clair Lund of Baraboo; and granddaughters Leora and Margo. Jeff is further survived by his sisters Debbie and Dawn and brothers Mark and Paul. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service.
