Alvena Ennen

Alvena Sciota Marie (Koppen) Ennen was born August 6, 1930 to Andrew and Zada (Cayler) Koppen in Lakota. She was married to Leroy Ennen on January 25, 1951 in Algona, and they lived in Lone Rock until Leroy was drafted into the service. They then lived in Oceanside, California until he went overseas. After his return in 1954, they made their home in Lone Rock. They were the parents of two sons, Mervin and Jeffrey. She enjoyed traveling through the states, visiting family in California, gardening, working with her flowers, crocheting, and all kinds of handy work. Alvena died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg. She was 89. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leroy of Lone Rock; sons, Mervin (Julie) Ennen of Mason City, Jeffrey Ennen of Fairfield; grandchildren, Brian (Lindsey) Ennen, Michael Ennen, Alexandria Ennen, Levi Ennen; great-grandchildren, Weston and Emma Ennen; siblings, Gloria Lampe, Carmella Lampe, Richard Koppen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
