JOHN SYBIL MUSCATINE, Iowa - John W. Sybil, 75, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Trinity Unity Point Hospital in Muscatine. Minutes before his passing, John gave his heart to the Lord and asked God to forgive him of his sins. Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, in Tipton, Iowa. Charlene Shoppa will officiate and provide music. Flowers can be sent to the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home who in charge of arrangements. John was born on February 1, 1944 in Iowa City, the son of John and Louise Werling Sybil. He married Carolyn Pipkin Cole on September 29, 1995 in Muscatine, Iowa. They were married for 24 years. John had farmed the family farm for approximately twenty years in Solon, Iowa. He was ten years old when he first drove a tractor, when his dad was in the hospital. He worked 12 ½ years at Peking, a Chinese restaurant in Muscatine as a cook and meat cutter.
