Laura N. Voigt

LAURA NICOLE VOIGT  Ms. Laura Voigt, of Center Road in the Town of Saukville, passed away Tuesday evening, October 6th, 2009, at Columbia-St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus in Mequon following a tragic automobile accident.  She was 23 years old.  Laura was born in Port Washington on May 7, 1986, daughter of Wayne and Mary Horneck Voigt.  The family lived in the Belgium area and Laura attended Random Lake schools until her senior year.  Her family moved to the Town of Saukville and Laura graduated from Ozaukee High School with the Class of 2004.  Afterwards, she attended MATC in Mequon.  Laura had worked at the McDonald’s  restaurant in Cedarburg for the last five years and was preparing to start the management program.  Ms. Voigt was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherman Center.  She had a passion for nature, animals and music, and enjoyed socializing and spending time with her friends and family.  She is survived by her parents, Wayne and Mary and two sisters: Amy and Lisa, all of the Town of Saukville.  She is further survived by her grandparents Lois Horneck of West Bend, Florence Thorpe of Cedar...[more]

g and Donald (Jan) Voigt, also of Cedarburg, numerous aunts & uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.  Also surviving is her boyfriend Andrew “A.J.” Schmitz.  Funeral Services will be held at 5PM on Sunday, October 11th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. (Hwy 33 & LL), in Port Washington.  Pastor Greg Laska will officiate the service.  The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested.
