Herschel E. Muhammad

Herschel Edwin Tyler Jr., was born on Sunday, December 21, 1969 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana to Herschel Edwin Tyler and Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Tyler. Herschel was "dubbed" Bubby at an early age and this remained his life-long nickname for family and close friends. He received his early education at J.K. Lilly, IPS #53, Lowell Elementary, Creston Jr High School and graduated from Warren Central High School in 1988, where he was a proud member of the Warren Central Warriors Football team in the position of Nose Guard wearing jersey #73. After high school, Bubby attended Indiana State University and went on to receive an Associate of Graphic Arts Degree from Vincennes University in 1993. He received special recognition while at Vincennes University for designing the logo for the African American student group. Shortly after attending Vincennes University he made the decision to change his surname to Muhammad. His true passion was music; he loved making beats in his studio.
