Marian Hepler

Marian Avis Boyd Hepler, age 92, passed away peacefully at Community North Hospital on November 21, 2019. Marian was born August 21, 1927 in Mayport, RD, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Marie Lettie and Hugh Alexander Boyd, as well as three sisters, Madeline Phoebe, Theda Elaine, and Alma Elizabeth Boyd. Marian attended Punxsutawney High School, in Punxsutawney, PA, Grove City College, in Grove City PA and Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia where she graduated with a BA in Economics in 1951. She then worked as a secretary at R & P Coal Company, before marrying the love of her life, Arthur James (Jim) Hepler, of New Bethlehem, PA on September 6, 1952. Later she worked as a secretary/receptionist at A & F Engineering Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. An active member of two Presbyterian churches in Indianapolis, Marian taught Sunday School and served as a deacon, at Prentice Presbyterian Chruch, and was a member of the Sages of Second at Second Presbyterian Church. Marian is survived by son, David James Hepler, daughter, Linda Marie (Dennis) and grandson John Frederick O'Brien, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, granddaughter Maureen Michelle O'Brien of Miami, Florida, niece, Whitney (Steve) Almquist and nephew, Winston (Brenda) Wise both of York, Pennsylvania.
