Martin "Marty" D. Acosta, 70, of Kingston, NY, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Health Alliance Hospital - Broadway Campus Kingston. He was born on July 31, 1949 in Bronx, New York and was the son of the late Peter and Martha Acosta. He was a graduate of Rice High School in the Bronx, and had attended SUNY Orange and SUNY Ulster Community Colleges He served in the US Army, as a medic, in Vietnam. For many years he worked as a counselor at Gateway Community Industries. He liked classic rock, enjoyed concerts, kayaking on the Hudson River and local tributaries and camping, especially at White Birches in Windham and Pot of Gold in Acra, NY. He was a lifelong Yankee fan. He is survived by his loving wife Patrice Boyle, a brother Daniel M. Acosta of Arizona, several nieces, nephews and his beloved boxer Sissy.
