moving onto Luling School district, then to Hays ISD where she was recognized as teacher of the year in 2013, and most recently moving to Austin Region 13 Education Service Center. Very little held Christy back and every obstacle was an opportunity to leap forward. She was an amazing, nurturing mother to two wonderful girls. She poured love and compassion into them and taught them how to care for the less fortunate through volunteering with them at homeless kitchens and assisting with the Wimberly flood. She would do anything for her girls and instilled a legacy which will always be cherished. Christy loved her essential oils which perfumed the air of her home. She also loved her dogs Tessa and Mae had a penchant for dogs, cheese and pickles and was legendary at fantasy football which she won at a couple times. Christy is survived by her daughters; Cambria and Jordan Henry, her parents Samuel Alexander and Marilyn Cheek, her step-mother Sharon Alexander, half-sisters Samantha Stockley and Meagan Alexander, aunts Hettie Charboneau and Myra Starr, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her ex-husband Greg Henry and his partner Lisa Salganik along with her loving, lifelong friends.
