Robert Leo Janus

Madison- Robert Leo Janus, age 16, unexpectedly passed away this past Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 26, 1995, the son of Leo Janus and Maria Janus-Lawrence. Bob attended Queen of Peace and was a sophomore at Edgewood High School. He was a sweet and gentle soul that cared deeply for others. He loved music, especially playing the guitar. Bob could pick up one of his many guitars and play for hours. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and casting his line off the pier of the boathouse on Lake Mendota and trout fishing with Grandpa Tim. He loved the outdoors especially camping, boating and playing golf. Bob is survived by his father, Leo (Kim Feller) Janus; his mother, Maria (Waymen) Lawrence; his sister, Sophia Janus; step ,brothers, Desmond Lawrence and Ben Feller; step sisters, Alyssa and Mikala Feller; Bob had a special place in his heart for his grandparents, Tim and Helen Matthews and his grandmother Jo Jean Kehl Janus. eath by his grandfather and namesake Robert R. Janus. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 405 S. Owen Drive, Madison, on Wednesday May 18, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. A visitation will be held at church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the mass.
