Frank Carter Hines Jr.

MR. FRANK CARTER HINES JR. was born on January 25, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to Frank Carter Hines Sr. and Mattie Pullins Hines. Frank was awarded a football scholarship Kentucky State University (KSU) and was a proud Defensive Tackle on the KSU football team from 1977-1981. Frank earned his BS in Computer Science in 1981. Frank loved playing with his teammates many of whom he considered his "brothers". Frank enjoyed coaching and watching the Indianapolis, Colts and annually attending the Indianapolis 500. Frank enjoyed these sports with his late father took pride in sharing this family tradition his only son, Frank Carter Hines III. Frank was united in holy matrimony to Mia Dashanne Mumford on May 10, 2008. Frank and Mia were blessed with daughter, Brooke Michelle Hines on December 10, 2010. Frank was employed by the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Frank officially retired from the IRS on December 31, 2019 and awarded the Albert Gallatin Award in commendation of his 36 years of service. Frank continued his service to the Lord while a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church, Pastor James Anthony Jackson until his passing. Frank departed this life on February 2, 2020 at the age of 61. Frank was a family man who loved his wife and children and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and brother. Frank is survived by his wife Mia Dashanne Hines, son Frank Carter Hines III, daughter Brooke Michelle Hines, and granddaughter Laylah Elizabeth Hines and a host of close family, colleagues, teammates and friends.
