Michael D. Mynatt

Michael Dillard Mynatt, age 57, passed away June 1, 2016 after a valiant battle with his declining health.  Mike was a University of Tennessee graduate, where he was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi fraternity 1978 and served as archon, vice archon and warden of the Alpha Sigma chapter while an undergraduate member. He then went on to a career in finance in Knoxville, Florida, then back to Knoxville, during which he remained an important part of AS, acting as a Chapter Advisor for many years. His volunteer spirit and dedication were recognized even on a national level when in 2009 he received the Chapter Advisor of the Year Award.  His legacy will live on in all the young men whose lives he impacted along the way for generations. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Dillard A. Mynatt. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his mother, Frances Mynatt; brother Danny Mynatt and wife Marcy; nephews, Josh and Caleb Mynatt; and his special friends who were like family, Buster Harvey, Genie Brabham, Keith & Dian Crossland, and David Broome.
