David L Lundy

David Lee Lundy, 65, of Arlington, VA, passed away on February 21, 2020 at Story City, Iowa after a two-year battle with cancer. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th from 4-5:30 pm at the Bethany Life Chapel in Story City. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 29th at 11:00 am at the Bethany Life Chapel with Pastor David Burling officiating. A lunch will be served immediately after the service, followed by burial at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, Iowa. David was born on December 20, 1954 in Nevada, Iowa to Paul and Donna (Kludas) Lundy. He was raised in rural Zearing on the family farm and graduated from NESCO High School in 1973. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 1977; Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in 1986, and Master of Laws in Taxation from the College of William and Mary in 1993. David worked as an attorney for over 30 years. He was a member of the Virginia and New York State Bar Associations. David is survived by his sister, Diane (John) Taylor, his brother, Daniel (Lezlie) Lundy, three nieces, four nephews, five grandnieces and one grandnephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Life Chaplaincy Endowment Fund.
