JOHN HOLLADAY MOSCOW, Iowa - John 'Frog' Holladay, 70, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, surrounded by his wife and children, at Mercy Hospital - Iowa City. Celebration of Life will be held from Noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Wilton Methodist Church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com John was born on April 6, 1949, in Muscatine, the son of Floyd A. and Betty McConnaha Holladay. He married Linda Werling on February 5, 1998, in Tipton. John graduated from Wilton High School and retired from GPC after farming for 23 years. Prior to GPC he was a cement truck driver. He enjoyed farming, fishing, watching old western movies, grilling out, and spending time with his family. John was known for his infectious smile and sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda of Moscow; six sons, Mark Holladay and Amanda of Wilton, Aaron Holladay of Wilton, Travis White and Jessica of Muscatine, Alex Holladay and Jessica of Moscow, Jeff Tedford and Tanya of Sarasota, Florida, and Jason Tedford of Marion; four daughters, Shawn Tedford of Siesta Key, Florida, Angie Yates and Richard of Fort Madison, Jennifer Gray and Rolando of Iowa City, and Jamie Werling and Janice of Muscatine; 29 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five brothers, Bob Holladay of Kansas, Paul Holladay of Muscatine, Dave Holladay of Wapello, Steve Holladay of Wilton, and Billy Holladay Wilton; three sisters, Penny McKillip of Atalissa, Janet Marin of West Liberty, and Mary Ruth Trotter of Wilton. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother James Holladay; his sister, Patricia; his granddaughter, Brooklyn Mendez; and a few beloved farm animals.
