Christopher Alan Banes

Christopher Alan Banes, 55, passed away suddenly on April 4,2019 at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana on March 29, 1964 to Robert and Joanne Banes. His family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when Chris was two years old. He attended Arizona State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He met and married his wife Jeanne Meola in 1982 and together they had three children. Chris is survived by his three children, Christopher Banes and fiancé Jamie Stamatis, Nicholas Banes and Stephanie Harriger and husband Daryl Harriger. Chris was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is also survived by his grandson Bo Harriger, his mother Joanne Banes, ex-wife Jeanne Banes, siblings Mike Banes, Rick Banes, Sam Riley, Cindy Francis, Dale Francis and Jenny Cuevas as well as several nieces and nephews whom he adored. He loved watching his home improvement TV shows, dining out, listening to the music of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, and drinking Coors Light. He was happiest when he had all his loved ones around him. Funeral arrangements will be held Friday April 12th from 5-8pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary at 6500 E. Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
