Carl Sande

Carl Sande, 87, of Fort Dodge passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Gunderson's. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge, IA. Carl Sande, the son of Torger and Ellen Sande, was born on December 27, 1932 in Norway. He settled in Fort Dodge, IA in the early 1950's. On February 11, 1956 Carl Sande was united in marriage to Luann O'Conner in Blue Earth, MN. Carl worked for over 40 years in the roofing industry and owned his own roofing company, Sande Roofing. He retired from roofing in the mid 1990's. Carl enjoyed camping and bowling, but he especially loved traveling with family. He was an active member of the Sons of Norway. Carl had a special place in his heart for pets.
