MICHAEL JAMES SUNDELL

Michael James Sundell, 61, of Sands Township, passed away Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018 at UP Health System-Marquette. He was born August 19, 1956 in Negaunee, a son of the late Donald and Delores (Ribardy) Sundell. He was a 1974 graduate of Negaunee High School, attended Ferris State University and was a lifelong long area resident. Mike had been employed at the Presque Isle Power Plant since 1976. He was a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church and the Wawanowin Golf Club. His interests included golf and attending auto shows and he was a proud owner of a Roush Mustang. Mike is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Arens) Sundell, whom he married on June 20, 2009 in Manistique; daughters, Jennifer Tetreau and Cindy (Chris) Wright, both of Lansing, Jennifer (Sam Henry) Youngmon of Manistique and Amanda Youngmon of Gwinn; grandchildren, Vada Marilyn Wright, Atlee Sabastian Wright and Dayton David Benish; and former wife, Karen Krieger of Portland, MI.
