Christopher Andrew (Chris) Corn, age 55 of Kyle, Texas, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 10, 2020. Chris was born on February 8, 1965 in Houston, Texas to Harry Gordon and Bettye Jean (Johnson) Corn. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston with the class of 1983. Following high school, Chris attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, but soon returned to Houston to begin his fulfilling career in the grocery industry, beginning with Randall's. He spent 21 years with Randall's in Houston before moving to Central Texas to work from Brookshire Brothers Grocery; first in Wimberley, then in Canyon Lake and most recently as Store Director in Smithville. In 1989 Chris married the love of his life, Lisa Katherine Hearn. They built a loving family together with their children, Eric, Natalie and Stephen. Chris looked forward to coming home to valuable down time with Lisa and their children. They were the center of his universe. uch with each of his children through frequent visits, texts and phone calls of encouragement and love. And, he enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Hank. All together they shared a home of love. In addition to family, Chris cherished his friends from Houston, work and SWT and kept in touch with them regularly. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Bettye Jean Corn of Houston. He is survived by his wife Lisa Katherine Hearn Corn of Kyle and children Eric Gordon Corn, Natalie Reagan Corn and Stephen Andrew Corn of Austin. A memorial service will be planned for the future when all who loved Chris can safely assemble to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
