ian Pearson Lowery and Joan Crabtree Payne and by his spouse Tina Germain Micoliti Hoffman. Rodney enjoyed fishing (especially Canadian fishing trips) with (the late) father in law Otto Weber, golfing with his sons Robert and David, son-in-law Robert, brother-in-law Mike, and many nephews, gardening, barbequing, and Rodney was a black belt in Taekwondo. He loved his family and enjoyed vacationing with his children and especially visiting family in Florida. Rodney was an avid fan of the Indianapolis 500 and Nascar, having grown up in Indiana. Rodney was an Indiana County Wrestling Champion and a graduate of Ben Davis High School. After moving to Michigan, he became a fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions and rarely missed a game. Rodney's children will cherish their memories of fishing trips, listening to their father sing to the "Eagles", "Janis Joplin" and "Jim Croce." In grade school, his choir teacher offered to give him a "C" only if he promised not to sing because he could not carry a tune. He was an amazing jokester and story teller, always wanting to put a smile on your face. Rodney had an amazing green thumb and took great pride in growing the crops that fed his family, especially his Beefsteak tomato plants and Silver Queen corn. In addition to the crops that fed his family, Rodney considered himself an arborist and was able to nurture trees and plants in environments where they were not normally successful. Rodney worked for Kmart Corporation and after 35 dedicated years he retired in 2006. He began his career as stock boy and through his hard work, dedication, and loyalty he retired as Regional Vice President at Kmart Headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
