Mark Brian Grunklee

Mark Brian Grunklee, age 62, of Kasson, MN died Monday, April 27, 2020 at Hiawatha Group Home in Rochester, MN. Mark was born in Rochester, MN on December 31, 1957 to parents, Alfred and Jacqueline (Schauer) Grunklee. He was the oldest of five children. Mark graduated from Kasson Mantorville High School in 1976. He was active in many sports including football and wrestling in which he excelled and held school records. Mark was an accomplished carpenter and loved to build furniture. On March 3, 1979 he was married to Ann Bartel and during their marriage they had two children, Kristy and Kelly. At age 24, Mark acquired a life threatening illness. He was strong enough to get through it however his life was forever changed. After this Mark spent his remaining years in several group homes where he enjoyed his housemates, playing cards and listening to music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Grunklee; sister, Terri Grunklee; grandparents, aunts and uncles. A Memorial service for Mark will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
