John L. Bowman, Sr.

John L. Bowman, Sr., 94, of Cumming passed away Friday, March 20, 2020. John was born November 6, 1925 in Miami, FL to the late Leon L. Bowman and Zada Kadletz Bowman. He graduated from Miami Senior High School in 1942 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After discharge from the Navy, John went to work for Eastern Airlines. He left Eastern to attend John B. Stetson University in Deland, FL. Following graduation, he returned to Eastern in Charlotte, NC. He later left Eastern to work for the Federal Aviation Administration in Orlando where he retired after 30 years of service. John then went to work for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for 13 years. After retiring John moved to Cumming where he lived his remaining years. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife, Christine F. Bowman and his 2 sons, Jeffrey Bowman and John L. Bowman, Jr. Survivors include his granddaughter, Serena Bowman; a grandson, Steven Bowman; a great granddaughter, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews. The Requiem Mass for John L.
