Amazing father, devoted son and brother, loyal friend, hard worker, full of life. He would light up any room he walked into and had a wonderful sense of humor. As a devoted father, Mike coached his son Preston in baseball from the age of six years old until he entered high school. He practiced volleyball in the front yard with his daughter Jamie and was on the sideline cheering her on at every game. He never missed a sporting or school event and loved his children more than anything. He was devoted to his family and never missed a chance to gather for holidays, vacations, reunions, birthday dinners, etc. Mike Doyle Stephens was born on October 16, 1961 in Memphis Tennessee, he was a huge Tennessee Volunteer Fan and loved attending games each year with his son, daughter, and other family members. The family moved to Orlando during his middle school years and he graduated from Winter Park High School in 1980. During his time at Winter Park High School, he played varsity football and basketball. ng his career as a Winn Dixie Store Manager. After a 32-year career, he worked for Sparr Building Supply, and most currently Cone Distributing. As a manager, he led by example. He was highly respected by his employees, served as a role model for those in training, and was cherished by his customers. Mike is survived by his son Preston of Orlando, FL, daughter Jamie of Ocala, FL, mother Kathleen Stephens of Oak Ridge TN, father Don Stephens and step mother Rhonda Stephens both of Ocala, FL, ex-wife Paige Stephens of Ocala, FL, and sisters; Donna Williams of Oak Ridge, TN, Margaret Stephens of Tallahassee, FL, Patty Brown of Tallahassee, FL, and Katie Palmer of Oak Ridge, TN. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He passed away on April 5, 2020 from complications of the COVID 19 virus. Mike will always be remembered as a man with a caring heart and a contagious sense of humor. He always made the time spent with him more fun and memorable. He loved his family and was a faithful father. His passion for his family was unmeasurable and his friendships were true. Anyone that met him cared about him because of his friendliness and kindness. He was a person always there to lend a helping hand to others, and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. A celebration of life will be scheduled once we are able to gather and share memories of time spent with Mike. The family is very thankful for all of the love and compassion shown during this time of loss. He will be truly missed.
