Juanita (Mrs. Julius "Jude") Johnson

Juanita Johnson (Mrs. "Jude") age 81, of Bickford Cottage formerly of rural Ames died Friday evening July 9th at Bickford Cottage in Ames. Visitation will be 5:00- 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 13 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way with a funeral service at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 14th at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 610 15th in Ames with interment at Story Memorial Gardens in Ames. Juanita was born Oct.13, 1928 in Nevada, Iowa the daughter of Marshall and Irene (Hall) Allen. She graduated from Ames High School in 1946. She married Julius "Jude" Johnson on December 9, 1950 in Des Moines. The couple moved South East of Ames where they had a dairy milking herd and farmed. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, beanie babies, cooking, traveling and visiting with friends and family and her love for her many dogs through the years. She is survived by a niece, Tina Allen, and her beloved dog, Zoey, numerous cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband "Jude" Johnson, March of 2009, and a brother, Robert Allen. Memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames, Iowa.
