kipper, Jr., James Daniel Skipper and Loretta Jane Gutscher. Ken and Carol retired to Maquoketa in November of 1992. Ken was employed as a Meat Cutter/Market Mgr. for 23 years. He graduated from optical school becoming a licensed Optician in 1975, owning an optical shop in Cambridge, Minnesota until moving to Florida in 1982. There he worked in metal optics for the space program until retiring in 1991. Ken was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Maquoketa. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, camping and fishing. He also was an artist and loved to whistle. Ken is survived by his wife, Carol Davis of Maquoketa, IA; combined children, Linda (Jim) Bailey of Clinton, IA, Michael Owen (Tracy) Davis of Carson City, NV, Gary (Jill) Davis of Maquoketa, IA, Lori Skipper (Harold) Gutscher of Jacksonville, FL; former daughter-in-law, Karen Skipper Peidlow of Silver Springs, FL; a brother, Don Davis of Maquoketa, IA; and sisters, Maxine Easton, Joyce Timmins and Darlene Kirchhoff, all of Maquoketa, IA; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marge, his wife, Beverly, a brother, Robert, and sons, Michael McCormick, Lloyd Douglas Bailey, William Bradley Bailey and James Skipper on January 8, 2004.
