On Sunday, May 31st, 2020, John Stephen Prudhomme of Belleview, FL, father of two children, passed away at the age of 60. John was born in Key West, FL. He grew up and spent his adult life in Toms River, NJ, and was a graduate of Toms River High School South. After earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Ocean County College, he enjoyed a successful career in the Loss Prevention field. John had a passion for all sports, but his favorite sport was baseball. He was the third baseman for Toms River HS South for four years, where he earned a Most Valuable Player award, and played two more years at Ocean County College. He was a huge New York Yankees fan and attended many of their games in the Bronx. John also enjoyed golfing in his spare time. John was known for his kind and compassionate spirit towards animals. He adored his two dogs, TJ and Amber. John swam with dolphins in Mexico and he loved his visits to the zoo. udhomme, David (Galina) Prudhomme, former wife Theresa Prudhomme Caplan, and several nephews and nieces. His wishes were to be cremated and to have his ashes spread on the beach in Hawaii. John spent a few years there as a child growing up on a naval base, and visited Oahu twice as an adult. It was his favorite place on earth.
