MICHAEL PAUL BEERMAN

Michael Paul Beerman, 64, passed away June 12, 2020, at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI after a valiant fight against Covid-19. Born on May 21, 1956, he was the son of the late Bernice (Rose) and Carl D. Beerman. Michael married the love of his life, Susan (Fluette) Beerman on June 8, 1985. They have one daughter, Elizabeth Beerman. Michael graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 1974 and served four years in the US Navy. He attended Northern Michigan University where he received his license in waste water treatment. He and his wife moved to Battle Creek, MI in 1986 where he worked at the City of Battle Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant for 25 years. Michael enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and fishing. He loved sharing stories of successful (or unsuccessful) hunts with his buddies. He also enjoyed hockey and gardening, including coaching peewee hockey. He shared his love of golf with his wife and daughter and they had many fun golf outings and trips. Michael was the president of the St. Joe Men's Golf League for several years and could be found on the golf course several times each week. Elizabeth Beerman, of Battle Creek, MI. He is also survived by brother, Dale (Pam) Beerman of Kalispell, MT; sister, Carly Beerman of Marquette, MI; favorite mother-in-law, Arlene Fluette of Marquette; sisters-in-law, Peggy Beerman of Marquette and Marilyn Libick of Big Bay, MI; brother-in-law, Pat (Sharon) Fluette of Marquette and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Carl Beerman; brother, Joseph Beerman and sister, Anna (Beerman) Menor; also his father-in-law, Leonard Fluette and brother-in-law, Michael Fluette. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 4 p.m. at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette.
