The LaMont Family

Shawn Charles LaMont (41), Jody Rae LaMont (42), Jace Pruitt LaMont (6), and Alice Lee LaMont (4) of Gainesville, FL passed away on June 5, 2020 in Eatonton, Georgia. Shawn originally from San Diego, California and Jody originally from New Castle, Indiana were married on September 9, 2012 in San Diego. They relocated to Florida in 2012 where Shawn worked at Shadow Trailer, Inc and Jody worked as a clinical supervisor at Metamorphosis program in Alachua County. Together they started J&S Trailer Service in Williston, Florida. In 2014 Shawn and Jody welcomed their first child, Jace. Jace was a recent Kindergarten graduate of Wiles Elementary. He loved BMX, trains, and telling jokes. Jace became a big brother in 2016 when the LaMonts welcomed Alice. Alice attended Abacus Learning Center. She loved Disney princesses, dresses that twirled, and gymnastics. The LaMont Family enjoyed going places together. They loved the beach, camping, Disney, monster truck rallies, baseball games, and being with family and friends.
