Christopher Robert Ellis

Christopher Robert Ellis, age 58, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his home in Grosse Pointe Woods. He was born on November 22, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Howard Robert and the late Martha Mary (nee: Chopp) Ellis. Chris was raised in Grosse Pointe Park and graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School. After graduation, he received his Bachelor's Degree from Ferris State University. He then went on to work as a Sales Representative for Johnson Controls focusing on Commercial Security Systems. Chris was an avid sportsman. He loved all sports but especially enjoyed golf, basketball, and softball. He was a die-hard Detroit Sports fan. Chris loved the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!). Everyone will remember Chris as a strong man who loved his life, but most importantly by how friendly he was. Chris never met a stranger. Chris was the loving brother of Judith Ellis (Gordon Jr.) Morseth and Timothy (Michele) Ellis. Dear Uncle of Ben Morseth and Michaela Ellis.
