Nathaniel Gordon Berry, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital. Nathaniel was born on October 29, 1946, to the late Joseph and Roberta Berry, in Alton, Illinois. He graduated from Alton High School, and then joined the Army in 1965. He served in the Army for four years. He then worked as a mechanic and also a truck driver for many years before retiring. He was a very handy man who liked to socialize and ride motorcycles. His love for motorcycles is how he met his long-time significant other, Wanda Robinson, who survives.
Nathaniel is survived by his significant other, Wanda; two daughters, Tonya and Tiara Berry, North Carolina; step-daughter, Reka Robinson, Muncie; three brothers, Bobby and George Berry, both of Alton, IL, and Richard Berry, Springfield, MO; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements for Nathaniel have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion. A private burial will be held at Marion National Cemetery.
