David B. Mottel

North Augusta, SC--The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. David B. Mottel, 65, who entered into rest September 17, 2020 will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. The Very Reverend C. Alexander McDonald celebrant. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The service will be streamed live on Posey Funeral Director's Facebook page. Mr. Mottel was a life-long resident of North Augusta and a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He retired as the chief economic development officer at SCE&G with 20 years of service. Mr. Mottel was an active part of his community having served as a past president of the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce and on various other community organizations. He enjoyed football, baseball, golf and coaching his children in their respective sports, particularly soccer.
