Steven Russell Davis
Steven Russell "Steve" Davis, age 54, of Phoenix, AZ died Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in Phoenix. Steven was born October 3, 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of John R. and Constance Thomas Davis. In July of 2003 he married Rebecca Bence in Glendale, AZ. She survives. Steve moved with his family to Western Illinois in 1969, when he was four years old. He lived in Lake Shore Hills, and attended school in Liberty through the second grade. They then moved to Quincy, where he attended St. Mary's Elementary and Jr. High School. The Davis family returned to Phoenix, and Steve went to Cortez High School, where he played football as a starting lineman for three years. After graduation, Steve started working in the construction trade as a framer. At this time, Steve developed a love for Ford Mustangs, and he owned several new ones. He would take road trips all over the state of Arizona at a moment's notice, and this led to numerous trips to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Peyson, and Prescott, among other places. r washes that were prevalent in Phoenix. He was always a hard worker, and he worked his way up to several management positions. Most of the rest of his life was spent going back and forth between construction and car washes. Steve absolutely loved the Chicago Bears, and on big game days he would wear his favorite jersey and paint his face and arms to watch the game at local sports bars. Steve also loved the holiday season, and he was big into celebrating Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition to his wife, survivors include: his brother, Wayne R. (Jeannie Lewis) Davis of Quincy, IL; a son, Ryan Christopher Davis of Phoenix, AZ; and five step-children. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
